OPENING WEEK OF THE PODIUM KICKS OFF WITH SPOKANE INVITATIONAL

FROM CONCEPT TO OPENING DAY
The Podium opens this weekend with first track and field event

Spokane, Washington (November 8, 2021) – A dream for decades, a construction site for two years, and now The Podium is open – hosting its first event this Saturday. The inaugural track and field event inside Spokane’s new world-class sports facility will be the Spokane Invitational, this Saturday, December 11, 2021. With this first event, we are expecting 680 athletes with as many as 900 visiting spectators, a local economic impact of more than one million dollars. This meet was designed by Spokane Sports for local and west coast college and club athletes. Competitors will get the chance to be the first track and field athletes to set records inside the new facility.

With the only 200M hydraulic-banked running track in the west, this first track meet is only the beginning! The Spokane Invitational will set the tone for a busy, first indoor track and field season at The Podium. Here is a list of the upcoming track and field events coming to The Podium through February of 2022.
