March 23-25 & March 30-April 1, 2011, Spokane Convention Center & Eastern Washington University
The USA Volleyball Pacific Northwest Qualifier (PNQ) is scheduled for play at the Spokane Convention Center and on the campus of Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington, just west of Spokane. The annual volleyball tournament is one of the largest annual events in Spokane, hosting over 350 teams over two weekends each year. March 31-April 1, Spokane Polo Fields
Men's and Women's teams from the Western United States and Canada will be visiting Spokane for the Annual Fool's Fest Rugby Tournament. Now in its 21st year, the tournament is expected to attract 200 athletes to the Spokane region. The festivities will be held at the Spokane Polo Fields which hosts six regulation pitches. May 20-22, Spokane Falls Community College
At the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) Track & Field Championships, Spokane men and women will be defending their 2010 title and it won't be easy as they face some tough competition from colleges across Washington, Oregon, and Canada. May 21-26, Spokane, Washington
The Sports Commission is proud to host three WIAA High School State Championships during the month of May.
• May 21-23: WlAA Boys & Girls Golf Championship
Young golfers from all over the state will be enjoying what Spokane has to offer in the way of fantastic golf courses. We have a feeling they will be telling their friends back home that Spokane is the place to be. Tournament will take place at Esmerelda, Indian Canyon, Meadowwood, and Hangman Golf Courses.
• May 24-26: WIAA Boys & Girls 1A, 1B, 2B State Track & Field Championships
Over 1500 runners and field event competitors will be traveling from across the state to run, jump, and throw their way to a championship. Eastern Washington University Campus.
• May 25-26: WIAA 4A State Softball Championships
Thirty-two softball teams of the fastest-throwing, hardest-hitting girls in the state combined with brand new fields means good things for spectators. Comedown and watch some first-rate games. Dwight Merkel Sports Complex.

June 24, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
Ironman Coeur d'Alene starts off with a 2.4 mile swim in beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene. The bike course takes athletes through 112 miles of rural north Idaho and the run course clocks in at 26.2 miles. Ironman Coeur d'Alene is noted for its spectator support and is a remarkable accomplishment for individuals who can finish the competition. More about the event can be read at ironmancda.com

July 4-7, Regional
The annual tournament, hosts 40 teams at 6 fields around Spokane, Spokane Valley, Mead, Cheney, and Coeur d'Alene. Both Senior AAA and Junior AA classifications compete during this event. Teams must be under 17 years of age. Read more.

July 6-8, Spokane Convention Center
Sponsored by Northwest Yudanshakai, the USJF/USJA Junior Nationals is expected to draw nearly 700 athletes and families to Spokane. The two-day tournament features a wide range of athletes including bantam, intermediate, juvenile B, kata, juvenile A, IJF juinor, and yudanshakai team. Read More.

2012 8th Annual Sports Commission Best Ball Classic

Save the Date! You're invited to attend the Sports Commission's 8th annual Premier Golf Event, 2012 Best Ball Classic. Each year, Spokane Regional Sports Commission hosts the Pacific Northwest's premier Best Ball Tournament. This event provides teams with a unique and unmatched golfing experience, while generating funds for the Spokane Sports Athletic Achievement Grant Program.

Circling Raven Golf Course
Circling Raven, named the Best Casino Course in America by Golfweek Magazine in 2008, was created amid a unique blend of wetlands, grasslands and woodlands. At 7,189 yards, the par 72-championship layout meanders through 620 acres, only 100 representing cultivated ground. Wildlife is abundant, including elk, deer, moose and an occasional black bear.
